1st test with the TF-100 kit

My kit came today so I had some fun playing junior chemist :-D

Here's the numbers:

FC 1.5
CC 1
TC 2.5
PH 7.8
T/A 150
CYA about 40 as best I can tell.
temp 77

This is a 30' round AG (about 24k gallons)

Water is nice & clear.

I obviously need to get my T/A & PH down so I'm adding muriatic acid. Started with 1/2 gallon (all I had left). Depending on how the T/A and PH track, I might be doing some aerating too.

Any other advice?

Welcome to TFP and congratulations on your first test!

I would double check that CC level. If it is really 1 then you should shock the pool (bring the chlorine level up to 15). That will bring the CC down to 0, which is a much better place for it to be.

Other than that you are looking good.

Rechecked CC and its 0 now with FC at 2.5.

I added another gallon of bleach. THat should get me between 4-5 ppm. T/A & PH dropped a little with the muriatic. Need to pick-up & add some more though.
