sta-rite backflow valve leaking from top

Hello,

first time post - regarding a sta-rite swimquip 2" wc212-134p backflow valve.

getting pool ready for summer and now have a decent leak coming from the top where the piston come throught the top of valve hosuing and joins the handle. i disassembled and took a look, o rings look ok,

i cleaned off the piston but leak is still flowing.

is this a problem new o-rings should take care of ? the valve is older - is it worth simply replacing the whole unit?

any help is appreciated.

ok i ordered the o-rings and will report back.

update - replaced the 2 main piston o-rings and now it leaks more. need to either purchase more parts for this valve or get new backflow unit.

any suggestions ?> thanks
