That's a good plan. The set-up isn't too hard as far as the Aqualink goes and tuning the actuator isn't either. I'm sure there's a YouTube video on it.
Touching is a good thing! People seem to forget that a pool is just like a pet in that you need to feed it, play with it and groom it or else it'll get outta hand. I feel confident your pool is in good hands.
