Backwashing My DE Filter with a 2 Speed Pump

I have a Whisperflo 2 two speed pump (1.5/.5 HP). I typically backwash on low speed, but I'm not sure if I can use high speed. It seems like high speed would do a much better job dislodging the sludge, but I'm afraid it could damage the grids.

Can anyone tell me if it's okay to backwash my DE filter on high or if I need to keep it on low?

Seems to me that high speed would do a better job of cleaning the grids. Our pool has a 2.5 HP High Head Challenger pump and it cleans out the DE filter quite nicely. 8)

Yes, you can backwash on high speed.
