Hayward Wide Mouth Skimmer

Love it because the lid locks on it.The problem I have is the basket doesn't .So now when the pump is cut off for extended amount of time it floats up and doesn't go back down when pump cut's back on.Any suggestion on fixing this??

Is that not the original basket that came with the skimmer? Your basket doesn't have a way to be placed down fully then twist slightly to lock in place huh?

No this one doesn't.It's a Hayworth Basket.Buy,it doesn't twist down to lock

Not just any rock. Make sure it's native from NC though.

The replacement baskets I have in my skimmers (bought at Home Depot) have weights built in the bottoms.

Definitely going to stick something in there.My old waterway basket locked down.But,the lid would always come off.
