potassium peroxymonosulfate

So - I'm moving over to a SWG and BBB.... and still have half-a-bucket of potassium peroxymonosulfate left over from last year.

Do I use it up? When?

We tend to call that MPS around here. It is common non-chlorine "shock" . We don't generally recommend MPS, except for indoor pools, because there are less expensive alternatives for outdoor pools. Given that you have some already, you can use it when you need to shock the pool, especially if you are have CC levels above 0.5.
