Does anyone owned a Prologic PLPS4 or PLPS8? If you do, can you please give me a picture of the inside of the panel so I can study how to wire my stuff up once I have the money to buy a controller?

According to the manual, The connection at the main house panel should be to a 240VAC circuit breaker rated at 100A maximum.

Can you install a PLPS8 control center on a 40 Amp 240 breaker? Yes. Will it work for you? I don't know. With 4 pumps you need to do some math and also take into account the other loads.
