Poor flow from filter through heater and past pressure switch

We are new here - bought a used portable hot tub in Dec, our first. We live where we can't get service, so we figured we'd be fixing anything ourselves anyway. We used it for about 3 weeks, using the CCC method. Had also added borates, and that completely fixed any ph drift we had. Now, though, it won't call for heat. As we watch the flow through the clear tube before the pressure switch, it doesn't appear to have enough flow. The old pump was only doing about 2 gal per minute, so we replaced it, but it hasn't fixed the problem. We have it inside (room off the garage, so no freezing temps), but it had previously been outside. Not sure how to measure flow below the filter, but there doesn't seem to be much, even with the filters removed. Is it possible there is a partial blockage between the filter and the pump? How would someone detect that?
I have been scanning previous threads for a few months now, and have received so much help for getting started! You all are great!

I think we've got it working - we used a super sized shop vac - disconnected the pump and turned on the vac from the filter side. Heard something come up, forgot to empty the dust bin, so not certain what, but after re-filling and bleeding the line, working like new. Probably didn't need the new pump, but now we've got a spare!
