Major pool liner problem!

Hi guys,

Really upset a tear in our new liner. We had a lot of rain that cause our line to pop out of the track. Long story short I ended up with a 4' vertical tear in the deep en of our pool. Tear starts at water line and moves down towards the deep end. Just replaced this liner a year ago. Do I have any options to repair this...possible vinyl welding of a patch.

Tha big a tear could be tough. I would call insurance company.

Do you have issues with high water table?

Yes we have a high water table. I have wells near the pull to pump it dry, just don't pump them soon enough and we had a lot of water. I was just thinking about vinyl welding. That is how they make the liner in the first place so I don't see why that wouldn't work to repair. I'm thinking of getting a oversized patch and a welding kit and giving it a shot. Just don't want to trash this giant liner over a 36" tear. I don't know though

It's worth a try, but I do know in Canada when making a household claim it won't affect future pricing. I worry you do that repair, it doesn't hold, then insurance company might balk?
