    patch vermiculite pool bottom

    Any one know ratio vermiculite to portland cement, can not find pre mix in south Mississippi. thanks

    (1) 94 lb bag of Portland cement to two bags of vermiculite.

    The ratio is 2 bags of Vermiculite to 1 bag of cement. The Vermiculite and cement go into the mixer and then you’ll add about 2 – 5 gallon buckets of water, until you reach an oatmeal consistency that you can trowel easily.
    I used the 4 cubic foot bags (big bags) (two of them) with one 94 lb bag of portland and it came out excellent. I bought a full pallet from RoyalSwimming pool (link below),, ran short and reached out to my local pool company - they sold me a few bags at about the same price (if I remember right about $20 per bag.

    In-ground block / vinyl liner 33' x 22' x 5',, approx 25k gals
    Cartridge Filter
    Floor drains, 2 skimmers, 3 return lines (2" plumbing ultra-flex PVC)
