I have a 35K play pool running SWG circupool. Filter is a triton sand filter with multiport valve. FAC 3.2 TAC 4.4 PH 7.5 ALK 115. Every now and then I will have a problem with what looks like to be foamy scum on the pool surface. It happens usually every other week and I think the filter sand is not the right type. I have attached a pic, not sure what the deal is.

it looks like pollen to me? maybe wind change?? Try doing a deep clean on your sand filter..

how long does it take to filter out?

Am I reading it corectly that there is 1.2 CC (4.4TC - 3.2FC).

From your location and the reflection of the overhead lights I assume this is an indoor pool?

Is there any CYA in the water?

With the high CC I'm going to guess you have a situation similar to a hot tub where waste products are not being oxidized and are causing the "scum". You may want to look into using an MPS shock.
