That looks like some fairly good information. However, I take exception to PoolPlaza saying that sand filters need to be cleaned weekly. Sand doesn't have to be cleaned anything like that often. If you aren't having any problems 4-8 weeks is a lot more plausible.

It was bringing back bad memories of a time in my life where I had a sand filter, poor pool store advice and cleaning did NOT mean backwashing... They had me change the sand 3 times one year...
