Is this normal?

So I've noticed a lot of debris floating around with the light on. During the day, the water looks clear.

Is this a problem I need to tackle or is this normal?

I just cleaned the filter this morning, after doing a drain and refill to deal with high CYA.

Most of us have "floaties" that appear under lights. If your water tests are good, don't panic. Your DE filter can get them reduced. Harder for us with sand filters.

Yep, normal. There is always stuff blowing in the air and getting in the pool. It will all get filtered out eventually. It is worse at different times of the year for us. The fact that you can see that little bitty stuff is actually good. That means your water is very clear.

The most clear pool I ever saw under lights was ChemGeek's. Even he had some floaties. Not many, but still.

Do you use a skimmer sock? If not, try one...it sure helps grab some of the finer things.
