Help with draining lines

We don't close our pool over the winter, but have a major leak right now and can't keep the water level up (liner needs to be replaced).

Freezing temps are approaching, so I understand that we need to drain the lines. Can anyone here guide me through this process? I'm clueless, and the pool school article doesn't go into a lot of detail.

Over the next 10 days, it looks like you have two days with a 30-31 degree low, with the remainder 33-47 degrees ..... highs as much as 70. Personally, I wouldn't be very worried.

Oh, so one or two nights of freezing temps are fine? That's great!

Yea your fine. It takes a hard freeze with temps below 32 for days to freeze water in pipes and skimmers to the point expansion takes place. I bet your water is in the 50's now.

If they are exposed pipes (above ground I mean) and you are really worried, pick up some cheap moving blankets from harbor freight and wrap them up. You should be fine though.
