Prefab Stucco kitchen redo?

We have a prefab stucco type BBQ kitchen and would like to re-tile the top. Can you re-tile over tile or can the title be removed from this type of structure?
If we wanted to put granite on top would we be able to do this?

Any stone or tile or other masonry surface requires one important ingredient....a VERY stable substrate.

If your prefab structure has any flex or movement, whatever you put on top of it will probably crack.

What does it look like now? Got a pic of the structure as well as the tile on top?
