Well, I needed a case of wine and guess what, one of the pool stores is just down the street. Time to see how their testing compares to mine again.
My testing:
FC 5.0
CC 0.0
pH 7.8
TA 50
CH 250
CYA Not tested (it was 40 the last time I tested, but we have had a lot of rain)
Pool Store
FC 4.0
CC 0.0
pH 7.6
TA 60
CH 225
I was told it was perfect, don't change a thing. The do their testing with Taylor reagents, same as me. The guy testing in newer, but has been around a while. He took his time and was methodical, probably why the numbers were so close. Come summer when their is a line out the door I think the speed will change.
A couple of things I noticed on the report.
They have reduced the CYA level they recommend. They used to say up to 100 was OK, now it's 50. But, sitll no relationship between FC/CYA. They still recommend FC 1 - 4.
