Thoughts on floating solar covers?

It's been warm here in Phoenix during the days, but down into the 50's at night, and the lagoon is still in the mid to high 50's temperature wise. Anyone have any thoughts about those $100ish solar covers to bring the water temperature up, and keep it up, over night?

I hate to have something else to store since I'll only need it for a month or two, but I'm wondering if it would extend the season a little?

thanks in advance.

They definitely help to prevent overnight heat loss. Buy the cheapest, thinnest one. They are easier to handle and seem to work about the same and last as long as thicker, more expensive ones.
