Hey, I was wondering if any one has ever used any of the calcium reducing products that are on the market? One has a big claim (I think It's made by Cal-Sok) to lower 200ppm with one application? I have a very high CH 500 or more and don't want to do a drain(fill water is just as bad ) All these products are very expensive and like everyone I dont want to throw away money!!!

They are sequesterants. While they do work to lower MEASURABLE calcium by seqestering it the calcium is still in the water so regular dosing is needed to maintain the effect, just like with any other metal and metal sequesterant. (Calcium is a metal.)
