Running the pump

Quick question

How long do you guys run your pump and what RPM?

I have no debris that falls in the pool but I do have a sweep.

Pool temp now 59, summer temp 87.

We are all different. In summer, some only 4/6 hours per day. Most don't have VS pumps, although there are many. I'd say 2000-2500 RPM on avg. I run lower with a VS Pump, something like 1750 on avg.

Pool school explains it best. I still have a single speed pump and do 4 hours in the evening and have had no problems.
