Replace AQL2SSRF with AquaPod??

Hi all,

I have a Hayward AquaLogic PS-4 control board with the AQL2SSRF remote. Can I upgrade to the Aqua Pod remote? I have the upgraded software version. How do I know what base receiver I have though?? I don't want to spend the money only to find out it's incompatible.
