OK to have low TA in spa?

I've been having a problem with ph rise recently, and did some research and determined I need to drop TA. It was around 100 ppm.

I added dry acid, aerate, and continue until my ph stopped drifting above 8. I finally got it to sit around 7.8 and now my TA is 50 ppm.

I've read that low TA is bad for spa components like the pump and heater, is it true? And spa surface? What about sanitizer effectiveness?

My spa is 500 gal, using dichlor/bleach sanitizer, ozone generator.

Thanks

TA around 50 plus borates is perfect for a hot tub. :goodjob:
More here on TA, PH, etc, How do I use Chlorine in my Spa (or pool)?

If my TA goes above 50-60 in my spa, I have problems with PH drifting up. I have read on here that it is perfectly acceptable to keep it that low. I also added 50ppm borates, which also seems to help.
Great to know thank you. Borates help maintain stable ph correct?

I have read Nitros thread I must have missed a few things will read again lol

I perennially have trouble keeping the TA up in my spa. It seems to like to stay around 30-40 with my adding lots of TA up chemicals.
