Debris Shield Sucked into Pool System

Hello!
I'm very concerned about the fact that our debris shield got sucked into the pool system. I guess the filter basket came loose, flipped upside down, and the pool pump sucked it right in. We still seem to have good suction and water is still moving through the system, but I'm about in panic mode here and don't want to have to spend lots of money on repairs. Any advice or tips or ANYTHING would be most appreciated!

If you're speaking of a skimmer sock, check your basket at the pump. It may be hanging out there now.
