hayward h200ed1 wont light????

Are you handy with and do you have a volt/ohm meter? You should probably first check to see if the pilot is lit. If it is, I would measure the millivolts across the red and white wires from the pilot that are connected to the gas valve. You need a good strong pilot and it should read over 400MV. Less than that and there isn't enough energy to turn the system on.

Also, you need to make sure the burners are good shape as well. Many heaters of this age have deteriorated burner openings which will cause other issues if and when the units lights up.
