Pool float is not working properly

We recently built an inground pool with pebbletech and the auto-fill float does not work properly. I have adjusted the float up and down, taken it apart and reinstalled it but the water level still rises above the float and over the recommended fill line for the pool. We live in La Crescenta, California which is near Los Angeles. Does anyone have any suggestions? :?:

Hi and welcome

Can you provide more information about the auto-fill equipment? You may get better advise that way.

It's a good idea to update your Profile to include all of your pool/equipment specs in your signature line....go to User Control Panel, then Profile, then Edit Signature. You are allowed 5 lines of text for your sig.

Good luck, I hope someone can help you figure this out!

Welcome to TFP!

You will probably need to replace the auto-fill valve. This valve is very similar to toilet fill valves, and is normally fairly easy to replace.

In the mean time you should turn off the shutoff valve to the auto-fill system. That will prevent your water level from continuing to rise.
