Jandy pool heater

Hello everyone,

i'm new and this is my first time posting here so be patient with me...

i have a pool about 30x55x4. pool is getting heated by a Jandy low nox 40000 BTU heater. i was NEVER happy with this heater. the biggest issue is that the burners on the bottom is getting burned quiet fast. i would say that i change a few burners every month. i cant get a nice blue flame. all i get is a wild orange fire. from years of aggravation i know that what i'm missing is enough fresh air to feed the heater. but its impossible to make big changes now to bring more air into the room where the boiler is. i do have a fresh air duct to the street but i guess its not enough.

anybody here with experience on dealing with pool heater issues?

Can you put a blower into the room to supply adequate source air?

If you know that to be the issue, more air is the fix, right?

tried putting a blower before. didn't do much. i believe a pool heater belongs in the open, not in a basement in a small closed room. but that wont happen now.

Yes no matter what unit you put in there will have this issue of you do not have sufficient fresh air coming in.
