Squealing Pump

Pump just started squealing, from a search here it appears to be bearings. I've got 3 more days of running (plus any freeze protection turn ons) before the pool will be closed for the season. Will it last out these few days?

Also since this is an 9 year old pump I'd like advice whether I should look to fix it before opening in the spring or should it be replaced.

TIA

Depends on how loud the squeal. Keep in mind your brushes are getting hotter as the core lags as it spins this can cause the windings to burn up. The cost of a bearing job if you take it to a motor maintenance shop is less than half that of a new motor. Very few pool stores or companies offer the service but the bearings are quite common. If it were mine id have it maintained before storage.
