Pipe Size Question

Hello! New member here. The pipes that run to the jets and skimmer are 1 1/2" pipe. I am in the process of installing a new Pentair Clear and Clean Plus filter. Would it be alright if the pipe that connected to the input port of the pool pump was 1 1/2 inch pipe and the output port pipe was 2 inches. I would like to have 2 inch pipe to and from the filter, to the solar heat, and back to the return pipe to the pool that is 1 1/2 inch. Does this sound like a good plan?

Yes you can use 1 1/2".

It has 1 1/2 right now. The question is can I use 1 1/2 on the input and use 2 inch on the output? After the filter and solar heat it will reduce back to 1 1/2.

Yes. No reason you can't do that.
