Starting SLAM soon. Some questions

Happy saturday everyone!
So I am gearing up for a SLAM. Pool is currently being drained to bring CYA down. I t will probably take most of today. Then I will refill tomorrow.

Does this schedule look ok?

Monday - refilll. Test at the end of refill. Add MA or soda ash to balance pH. Run pump all night.
Tuesday - test in the morning and start SLAMing

Once slamming starts, should I test every 2-3 hours?

Anything else to keep an eye on?

Actually once you start a SLAM process the more you can test the faster the SLAM goes. Hourly is ideal, but many folks can't commit the time to do hourly. Just do as often as possible so you're maintaining that SLAM level of FC but no less than 2-3x a day.

You can start the SLAM as soon as your pool is filled, make sure the SWG is off and keep the PoolMath link handy on your desktop for quick access to guide you in your liquid chlorine additions.

Check your filters often to avoid them getting clogged up with schmutz.
