I am replacing my current pump (Sta-rite Dyna-Glas 3/4 MPRA6D-146L) and I would like to get some suggestions on a good quality, long lasting, dependable pump as a replacement.

Is there a reason to change from your current model?The new variable speed pumps are wonderful but expensive. Or, you can upgrade the Dura Glass to a Sta Rite Maxi Glas.
Your old pump is a medium head. Don't switch to a high head model.

Optionally you could go with a Pentair SuperFlo (340036) or the Sta-Rite SuperMax (PHK2RA6D-101L). If the budget allows, spring for the SuperFlo variable speed (342001).
