Currently I have a Raypak 2100 (406) that can heat the pool and hot tub. I don't really ever see me needing to heat my pool. I did get quite attached to sitting in the hot tub in the winter though. I am in the process of Troubleshooting my old RP2100 that may be not worth saving. If I decide to replace would a smaller BTU heater be acceptable if I never plan to heat the pool?

Yes... it is all about the money. Shoestring budget here :)

I don't know the capacity of my hot tub but the pool is 33,000 gallons. Any thoughts?

I would suggest that you could probably go down to their 266K model and you would be good. It would add a few more minutes to your spa heat up time but not that much. Plus you could still heat the pool on occasions if you wanted to.

What's up with the old unit?
