This one is almost identical to one that has come up before, Redneck Pool Heater. Long story short, it isn't very efficient because the pipe diameter is small and the manifold doesn't split it up into enough parallel flows, which limits it to a rather low flow rate. This time around there are four parallel runs, instead of one and the burners put out a lot more heat, but it still isn't anywhere near as efficient as a regular pool heater.
