Best for waterline - glass or tile?

We're renovating a 20 year-old pool/spa combo. Water here in San Diego is high in calcium so we get build up down the side of the spa. Is there any issue choosing glass vs. tile at the waterline? Finish on bottom will be NPT Quartzscapes Barbados blue. Thanks for the feedback! Jacquie

Just going with my gut here.....................seems to me that the smoother the easier to clean...... you can clean it with diluted muratic acid...spray and rinse.

A good test kit like in my siggy will help a lot as it will help you keep your water balanced.
