New guy here... Sorry if this has been covered, but I could not find it by searching. We are designing a new pool and have a couple of options on the equipment location. Does the distance from the pool/spa substantially impact the heater efficiency? We could get it 20' from the spa, but a more desirable place is about 60' from the spa. One company that quoted the pool seemed to think it was important and another said it does not really matter because the lines are buried anyway. I would appreciate any thoughts.

60 feet is alright as long as you use appropriately large pipes. Some extra heat will be lost through the pipes, but it won't make a significant difference.
