Buying pool myself

Can an individual buy a fiberglass pool from a manufactuer and not go through a PB? I've seen the DIY liner pools on this forum, but not a fiberglass. Or maybe I've missed the thread on DIY fiberglass.

Waterbear knows a lot about fiberglass pools, including (at least some of) the folks that make them. I would await his answer on where and who to buy them from.

A DIY fiberglass pool would be easier than a liner pool 8) I've never installed a fiberglass pool, but I'll bet you I could without undue trouble Ill let the folks that are familiar with them answer and chime in with the things I know about and advice on methodology.

Thanks Ted. Where is that Waterbear when you need him? I've been looking around. Water World Pools is in Georgia. Did a search here and saw a couple of positive threads. Have seen some not so good things about them in the old Pool Forum also.
I really didn't care for all the seats in the WW pools. Just my preference. I don't think they make a simple rectangle 16x38-40.
Will keep looking and waiting for the Waterbear. I'm really close to Nashville, Waterbear, if that helps.

I know San Juan pools has DIY instructions for their pools.

Be aware that there is some debate as to the longevity of colored gelcoats.
