TFT and Taylor test giving vastly different results

I just tested our pool with my newly arrived TFT kit and got a TA reading of 210, when I test with my Taylor K-2006 kit (1.5 years old) I get a TA of <75. Would old chemicals not give me a falsely high result instead of a low one?

I do notice that the drop sizes from the TFT kit R-0009 do look smaller than the drops from any of the other reagent bottles.

Test strips also 1 year old are in the range of <75 as well.

Dont know what to trust now. Please help

Sometimes there can be static electricity on the dropper tip, leading to smaller drops, as you were observant enough to notice.

Please read the directions in the TF-100. When the R-0009 is very fresh, the drops will "jump" off the tip before they are fully formed, causing an incorrect reading. You must wipe the dropper tip between drops so the static is dissipated. This condition goes away after a couple of weeks.

Did you wipe the tip of the R-0009? New bottle, have to do this.
