Skimmer sock material to make a net

Hi all,

Domaine here from Melbourne, Australia. I have a 50,000 litre concrete pool with a layer of fine dirt on the walls and bottom. When I push a wire brush over it fine dirt is dislodged and makes the pool look mirky. I am thinking that if I had a net with the same material as a sock skimmer then I could collect it all straight away instead of waiting for it to settle again. Anyone know where I could purchase something like this?

Thanks!

Hi Domaine and welcome to TFP! I'm curious about your issue and would like to see if we can help you. I've heard much about dirt on the resting on the floor (like from a sand filter or the weather) but not so much on the walls. It might help us if you could answer two things for us:
- Can you update your signature with your pool info? You can do this by going to the top of the TFP web page (just under the Pool School button) and select "SETTINGS". On the next page look to the left for a menu bar that says, “MY SETTINGS” and go to "EDIT SIGNATURE" to enter your pool and equipment info there. It will help us later.
- Can you post a full set of test results from your TF-100 or Taylor K-2006? We need to see: FC, CC, CYA, pH, TA, and CH.
Those two items will be quite helpful to help us diagnose your dirt issue. Thanks, and welcome to the forum!
