This is my first post; hope I can describe everything correctly.
This is the second year for this pump. It was fine at the start of the season. I turned it off, by the circuit breaker in the house, and cleaned the filter. When I started it up again, the pump hummed and nothing else. I checked the breaker and that was okay. I tried something else in the same outlet and that item worked.
I have seen some of the websites and it's confusing. I have attached pics. I am able to turn the impeller as shown in dsc 0476. It doesn't have a capacitor. And the O-ring betwen the backplate and impeller is mangled as seen in dsc 0477. I have plugged it in as the picture shows and it does turn over a bit when I press on the brass plates . With a plastic item. Any ideas? I am able to press down and move the "springy" thing.
