Tiger Flex Hose

In relation to this type of hose used on a pool what does "brittle at 70 degrees" mean?

I assume that it is telling you that you shouldn't install Tigerflex unless the Tigerflex is above 70 degrees, because at 70 degrees or lower it can become brittle and crack when you flex it.

However, all the Tigerflex I have seen is fine down well below freezing, so that doesn't make any sense to me.
