Every time I backwash the filter then turn it on I get a nice Green cloud sent back into the Pool. Any Help out there?

Yikes. Green would seem to indicate you have algae settling into your filter from the water. Looks like it's time for you to conduct a SLAM via the Pool School - SLAM - Shock Level And Maintain. Do you have a TF-100 or Taylor K-2006 test kit to post a full set of readings for us?
Well any green is cause for concern, but to directly tackle your question: are you rinsing properly after you backwash?
