I am glad that there is a site like this that I can go to for advice and ideas. We live in Elk Grove just south of Sacramento, California. I am a first time pool owner since October of 2008. As you can imagine, we've been sitting here staring out at our virgin pool for the past 6 months with two months to go before we can take our very first dip. I've decided that I will keep the pool open all year long so I've been maintaining the pool since day one, which is a lot of work with no enjoyment. Our 4 year old daughter bugs me to let her put her feet in the pool but its still way too cold. I am hoping that this will be the hottest summer ever!!!
