Teledyne Lars EPC 175 (NG) exchanger leak

Hello,

Bought a used heater locally and after running a new gas line and re-wiring the transformer, the thing lights up great. However I discovered there is a crack in the manifold of the heat exchanger and it is leaking beyond use. Has anyone had these cast headers welded? A new header is too much $ for this heater to be worth while.

Are there any creative options for me?

Find someone locally that welds or brazes and see if they can fix it. Hopefully it's not too thin and can be repaired.
