Looking for a go - no go on this run capacitor

Hey all,

Well after replacing the shaft bearings on my sand pump a few weeks ago, it started getting crappy loud again (but different sound) until it shut off on me today 30 mins into a cycle. After popping the cover off again and checking shaft is freely rotating (it is) I tried to start it and the famous BUZZZZZZZZ of a bad cap presented.

I have found this one Frigidaire Electric Motor Run Capacitors CBB65 35 uf 250VAC | eBay and am wondering if this will work. I think it should, but would like a second opinion.

What are the specs on your old capacitor?

Identical 35uF 250vAC 50/60 hz. The dimensions seem right as well, so it should be fine.
Just a little skittish because I am no electrician.

Yeh I have had to replace run / start capacitors on my a/c more than a few times. Just swap the wires ( take a picture first ) and power back up. Make sure you discharge the old cap first !

OK, Update time.

I just got the new cap in today, and I installed it on the motor. Got everything put back together and it is doing the same thing. Hella loud hum and wont spin. I checked the shaft was free again, and it is fine so I am out of ideas.

Any help? My water is steadily heading south

Can you post a picture of the motor and the motor label?

It is the Intex 2650gph pump. I have come to the determination the winding is toast. The capacitor is doing its job, but the motor is smoked.
Anybody have any insight on this pump Amazon.com : Blue Wave NE6171B Maxi Replacement Pump for Above Ground Pools, 1.5 HP : Swimming Pool Water Pumps : Patio, Lawn Garden ?
I am looking to swapping the motor out with this and using the existing Intex sand filter.
