So I'm getting a new skimmer during a remodel and my PB put a extended throat in today instead of setting it back so now the opening at the skimmer will be flush with the wall instead of a tapered opening with concrete, is there any difference, I would assume I would get more skimming action of the skimmer is set Back and built up as a V for the entryway, Did I loose you guys?
It's not too late to have him change.
Here's a pick of what I mean.

Am I being ocd? Opinions wanted please.

Idk the one he took out was this, I should of told him what I wanted but never thought about it as I was obsessed more with the cracks. This was the old one so he just replaced what I had, hindsight should I have him rip it out now while the pool is empty and under repair, whatcha think?
