Time to dispose of Calicum Cloride?

My recent chem analysis at Pinch-A-Penny stated I need to add calcium chloride to my pool (about 38 pounds!). I have a vinyl above ground pool and have read the debate over whether I needed to add or not.

I had planned to use my old chemical but....I found my Calicum chloride that has solidified into a large block.

Is it still good or useable?

If not, proper way of disposal so I don't surprise my sanitation engineers?

It should still be fine. You are going to want to break it up into mid-sized bits with a hammer before putting it into the pool.
