have perfectly ok sunsaver pool light except o-ring is severed. Tried to find online but it is part 05101-4590 (purex) or 3510-34 (sta-rite) for pre-1999 lights. O-ring is now obsolete and unavailable. Does anyone know of an o-ring that will work that is available from other sources? Seems crazy to replace a perfectly fine pool light because you can't find an o-ring. thanks for any help.

You should be able to find an o-ring that fits either by taking the old one to a pool or hardware store and matching it up or measuring the diameter and ordering a generic o-ring online.

Good suggestion but the plastic housing with the groove for the o-ring is part of the light fixture so can't remove the part. However, I found a vendor that likely has the right size: 7.25 ID and 7.5 OD. Now just need to figure out the best material: rubber, silicone, Viton, EPDM.
