When are you testing for chlorine?

I test chlorine and pH daily, usually first thing in the morning. My pump/swg have been of for at least 12+ hours when I'm testing, should I be testing while pump/swg are running or shortly after vs. when I'm currently testing? I turn my pump on immediately after my morning test.

You should test after the water has had a chance to mix a little bit.

I always test after my pump has been running for at least 30 minutes.

So you're testing shortly after the pump has started vs. the end of the daily run?

My pump runs two different sessions of about 3 hours each. If I need to test, I test any time in those two sessions after it's been running for at least 30 minutes. If I need to dose and I've happened to test at/near the end of a session, I'll extend the run time by 30 minutes.

The benefit od testing end of day is in having your FC levels high enough to be sanitizing over night vs. being at minimum levels.
