I am using chlorine tabs in my pool now. I would like to start using bleach instead.My pool is a 16x32 rectangular and 5ft deep.It hold 16,500 gallos of water.I have about 8 3inch tabs left. How much bleach should I use? Would it be ok to use tabs along with bleach?My pool is a cement in ground pool.Thanks,

Welcome. Only a good test of your water can tell us that. Have you considered one of our recommended tests in Pool School? Tabs have a place, but not if your cya level is already too high.

Years and years ago, I was so tired of spending money on my pool that buying a test kit seemed totally out of the question. Really? Would it in fact help me at all? ANOTHER (at the time) $80??? Geez.
