We live in the Sierra Foothills above Sacramento and we are looking at having a Leisure 30' Riviera Pool installed. Unfortunately there is apparently only one installer for Leisure within 100 miles. The installer, whom I met, is a great guy who seems talented but he does some things which I don't like. His concrete decking is only 3.5" thick with only fiber material in it, no rebar. He also uses only sand as a backfill and lastly he does a salt finish and little else. I love the Leisure Pools but don't want a half baked installation. Lastly this install will run 53k which for what I am getting seems high. Any advise will be much appreciated.

3.5 inches of concrete is just fine. Anything else is overkill. Sand as a backfill is acceptable, too.
