So I'm sure this has probably been covered, but being in my area i can get liner they use for frac ponds and equipment for me to do the dirt work pretty easy as well as plumbing knowledge so i do all the piping myself. My question is would this work and be able to run crystal clear perfect pool like a standard vinyl liner pool or it being plastic liner a problem? Is just a dirt backing against a problem? Any input would be great because if this is a viable option I may be building my in ground pool come next spring.

As long as the liner is UV resistant for long term viability. That is how many koi/goldfish ponds are built. I've built two. Dig a hole with the contours you want. Put in a fabric underlayment, add the liner and plumb it.
I will have to check on UV resistance of it but I know at the 1 year mark when they have to start covering them, the frac liner is no dry rot and perfect shape in in the non under water direct dry heat areas
