I have a 12, 000 galloon plaster pool with a salt water generator. Any advise on what should be the optimum FC, PH, TA CH, CYA levels. Pool is in direct sunlight for most of the day.
Hello and welcome to TFP. To answer your question, there are two pages we use on a constant basis: Pool School - Recommended Levels Pool School - Chlorine / CYA Chart
To use these properly though, you must have the proper test kit of your own that can be obtained from TFTestkits.net. Every piece of advice you see on TFP threads revolves around the proper test kit. If you don't already have a TF-100 or Taylor K-2006, we hope that you will consider getting one soon. Look around, and if you have any questions let us know. Welcome!
To add what Pat provided, I would like to introduce you to the ABC's of pool chemistry. Its a quick rundown of what the different water parameters are and how they play together. Pool School - ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry
Also a handy little tool we have can tell you how much of something to add to the water in order to reach your recommened level. http://www.troublefreepool.com/calc.html
